On the 17th December 1903 Wilbur and Orville, the Wright Bothers,first flew a successful flight in the Kitty Hawk area, North Carolina. It was a freezing cold Thursday morning when they completed the first ever sustainable aircraft flight! When interviewed the brothers said they had first been interested in flight when their father brought them a toy helicopter, based on an invention by a French pioneer.
