Kid`s Dream Job

By Stefan H.
Delaware, Age 10

Some schools have promoted programs that introduce children to jobs that they might enjoy doing in the future. Some of these programs are held at school, but some can be as far away as 30 minutes. Most of these places have volunteers that work there or they invite parent volunteers to come. They try to get parents to come that have experienced a similar job to the job that they are volunteering at. For example, if someone was a bank teller in real life, they might be a volunteer at the bank. This gives many children the opportunity to see what really interests them- not just a simple hobby. They fill out a job application, fill out checks and deposit slips, and working at a business. These days are often busy, but usually a memorable day in a kids life.
