Big Boom in Saco, Maine

By Stephanie L.
Maine, Age 6

Yesterday afternoon in Saco, Maine , around 2:30, Mount Washington erupted and no one knows why. Mount Washington has never erupted and nobody knew it was going to. The people were horrified. ''I lost my house, my lovely wife, my two wonderful children, and I almost lost my life,'' explains Brandon G. Cars were flying through the air and buildings toppled over. ''I couldn't believe that nobody in the town of Saco didn't get out safley,'' explains Amy P., ''and half of the people in Biddeford didn't survive this horrible incident.'' With only one fourth of the people who lived in Saco, they plan not to rebuild. They decided to move out of Saco and as far away from Mount Washington as they can, for it may erupt again.
