Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan Missing?

By Arshiya F.

Its 1937, Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan are reported missing. They went missing 20 hours into their flight. The Electra, which is the plane they were flying, and her crew were heading for Howland Island. We don’t know why they went missing. President Roosevelt personally authorized nine naval ships and sixty-six planes to help in the effort. Over 4,000 men are waiting near the waters and islands of the South Pacific. It’s like half the United States is waiting for her. But Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan still haven’t arrived yet! This case might be like a “slow boat to China” but hopefully it doesn’t take that long to find this missing contraption, aerodynamic duo and record breaking crew.
