Jealousy's Devils

By Aaron H.
Grade 9

The song of jealousy glides through time,
Left unsung this tune should be.
Such a shame people memorize every lyric and note.
They sing it on and on,
Never ceasing when oppurtunity flies by.

People behold jealousy.
Such mesmerism, such temptation,
Unshakeable off human eyes.
Matter not the hideousness.
Blinded by its mere temptation people always allow.

People taste jealousy's bitter fruit,
Perceiving it to be the only sweetest fruit.
It stays lingering on the tongue,
Finally being swallowed down.
Then the flowers bloom,
Rooting themselves inside humanity.
