The author talks about
Waterhouse rushing through the streets of London to get to his studio.
I wanted to show what he was thinking about, which is why we see the dinosaur
ghosts hovering around him, and I've tucked under his arm a portfolio
of dinosaur drawings, which is coming loose, and the pictures are blowing
down the street into people's hands. Since many people at the time had
never heard of dinosaurs, I thought this would be a good (but subtle)
way to show how Waterhouse was in many ways responsible for the public's
education in dinosaurs. |
