The research takes place at the Chamela Biological Field Station, which is part of the larger Chamela-Cuixmala Biosphere Reserve in the Mexican state of Jalisco. The Reserve is in the tropical dry forest, the most endangered forest type in the world.

If you want to find Chamela on the map, the location is 19 degrees 30' N (latitude) and 105 degrees 00' W (longitude). The site is about 20 miles north of Manzanillo, a resort town on the Pacific coast.

Now you know something about the site. Your next step is to read field reports.
