Here are some more challenges for you to try. The more red dots, the harder the challenge.
  1. Using two different color unifix cubes (or linker cubes, counters, pattern blocks, etc.), show how you can represent each of the problems below:
     
    • Show how many ways can you make the number 5 using two different color manipulatives.
    • Show how many ways can you make the number 6 using two different color manipulatives.

  2. Roll a die. Draw that number of objects (flowers, hearts, etc.). Roll the die a second time. Again, draw the number of objects. How many objects did you draw all together? Use numbers to write out each math fact you drew. Repeat this 3 to 4 times.

  3. If Farmer Fred has 2 pigs, 4 cows, and 5 chickens, how many animals does he have all together? Show your work by drawing a picture of Fred's farm with all of the pigs, cows, and chickens.
