Here are three more challenges about the Summer Mystery Garden for you to try. The more red dots, the harder the challenge.
  1. Fold a large piece of paper in half. Then cut out fruits and vegetables from magazines and arrange them into two groups. Paste each group on either side of the paper and say or write why you sorted them that way.

  2. In a drawing or in writing, share how you would sort the fruits and vegetables from the mystery garden into two groups. Do you know any other ways you can split them into two groups? Show how in a drawing or in writing.

  3. Choose one vegetable and one fruit. Write how they are alike and how they are different. Then, using overlapping circles (a Venn diagram), show how they are the same and how they are different.
