Meet Our Specialists
Dr. Rhonda Neal Waltman
is the Senior Director of Consultancy Services and Learning Supports at Scholastic. She has 30 years of experience in education and has served as a teacher, counselor, program coordinator, principal, central office supervisor, and assistant superintendent. After retiring as the assistant superintendent of Mobile County Public Schools in Mobile, Alabama, Dr. Waltman founded Neal-Waltman & Associates, Inc., an education consulting firm for state departments of education, school districts, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.
Dr. Merrianne Dyer
is a consultant for Learning Supports at Scholastic.
She has 37 years of experience in education and has served as a teacher, principal, and superintendent. Dr. Dyer retired as the superintendent of Gainesville City Schools, Georgia, in June 2014. She continues to work as a consultant with multiple state and local districts as well as community agencies.
Tavia Crumpler
has served a section administrator within the Office of Federal Programs at the Louisiana Department of Education. She has also worked with the mental health and substance abuse needs of offenders for many years. Ms. Crumpler is currently assisting Dr. Waltman with the Alabama Department of Education’s efforts to expand their implementation of Learning Supports to more than 130 districts.
Jarod Anderson
has more than 20 years of experience working with youth, and 15 years of experience as a school social worker. He serves as an author, speaker, and a life skills trainer for children and young adults. Mr. Anderson has served as a social worker in the Beaufort County School District, South Carolina, and at Gainesville City Schools, Georgia, where he has worked for 13 years.
Dr. Mack Bullard
served as a special education teacher, high school assistant principal, and assistant superintendent prior to his current role as Director of Strategic Talent Management for the Griffin-Spalding County Schools in Georgia. His specialty is in preparing future leaders through targeted professional development that is applied to the work of school leadership. Dr. Bullard holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Supervision from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Morgan Ford
started her career in education as a middle school teacher and interventionist in Orange County, Florida, and then as a family engagement coordinator in Burlington, Vermont.
After receiving her M.A. from the School for International Training in Sustainable Development, she joined Scholastic, where she continues to manage innovative educational programs, practices, and trainings across the United States.
Dr. Shelia Martin
is the Executive Director of Special Services at Mobile County Public Schools in Alabama. She has held positions as a special education teacher, head of the state-mandated plan to transition at-risk and disabled middle and high school students into vocational settings or careers, and as a special education resource teacher. Dr. Martin serves on several advisory boards, including The Little Tree Preschool of Mobile, Alabama, and the Project Choices Advisory Panel.
Rodney Green
has served as a mathematics teacher, assistant principal in middle and high school, and as a high school principal. He holds an Ed.S. degree in Educational Administration from South Carolina State. Mr. Green is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning at the Lowndes County School in Georgia.
Dr. Karen Tatum
has 28 years of experience in education. She started off as a teacher in 1988 at Macon County Schools, Georgia, where she worked till 2011.
Dr. Tatum has served as the founder, president, and CEP of the CorKel Professional Management Agency as well as the school improvement specialist and graduation coach at Macon County Schools.
