is a continuous absence of light and warmth from the
sun, and the planet gets colder. For this reason I
have used blue and purple as the main colors, for
they lend a feeling of emptiness and coldness to the
scene. The never-ending night makes the trees lose
their leaves, the flowers fade, and the children wear
heavy clothing. It is too cold to play outside with
a ball anymore.
At the bottom of the picture, we see homes with
all their windows lit. By morning, electricity is
necessary all the time, and the energy consumption
is very high. It is very cold without the sun, and
heaters have to be on most of the time. Smoke from
the chimneys pollutes the environment. Sadness has
overtaken the world, and if sunlight does not come
back soon, life on earth will disappear.

La ausencia continuada de la luz y el calor del
sol hace que el planeta se enfríe, por eso
los colores principales que he utilizado son azules
y violetas. Estos tonos, cuando los contemplamos,
dan sensación de frío. La eterna noche
ha hecho que los árboles pierdan sus hojas,
que las flores se mustien marchiten y que los niños
tengan que jugar tan abrigados que darle a la pelota
es casi imposible. Al fondo, vemos los hogares con
ventanas iluminadas.
La luz eléctrica es necesaria a todas horas
y el consumo de electricidad es muy elevado. El
frío también hace que haya que tener
encendida la calefacción, por eso sale tanto
humo por las chimeneas contaminando el aire del
planeta. La tristeza se ha apoderado del mundo y
si la luz del sol no vuelve, la vida desaparecerá
poco a poco.
