Meet Tom Burke, 17, England
By Suzanne Freeman

Tom Burke
Tom was chosen as a delegate to the UN Special Session on Children through work with Peace Child International. He spoke to Scholastic News during a panel discussion on Child Labor.

Q: How do you think the session is going so far?

Tom: It's going really well. I think this shows how children are committed to the rights they have. It shows that by having the outcome document include such a diverse range of realistic actions for realistic problems, we can get something done. We can get the full endorsement of the rights of the child.
