Post-Election Report:

After the election is over, invite students to write a report on why they feel the winning candidate is now in the White House. Encourage them to use critical thinking skills and highlight key campaign moments that contributed to the win.

This report can also be flipped to ask "why" the opponent lost.

Analyze Campaign Graphics or Advertisements:

Have students identify campaign graphics/posters or commercials developed by candidates. In a written or oral report, invite students to assess their effectiveness.

"If You Were President" Game:

Have students play "If You Were President" to incorporate what you have learned throughout Election 2004. Students will print the newspaper article written about them and hand it in for evaluation. See President Rubric below.

Activities: Quizzes:

Each section of Election 2004 has an interactive quiz to test students' knowledge on what they have learned. Students can either take the quiz online and hand in results, or you can print each quiz to hand out to students.
