Students will:

• Study the writing process and make connections with a real author’s experience.
• Write their own mystery story, following the writing process.
• Learn essential elements that characterize different painting styles.
• Identify specific works of art painted by one of 13 masters.
• Analyze and further research one painter and style of artwork.
• Create a painting that follows the principles of the art style theyve chosen.
• Apply problem solving skills to solve pattern puzzles.
• Use logic and decision making to create a puzzle challenge.
