Case Study: How Scholastic Literacy Pro Enhanced Literacy Instruction for Grades K–8

SUMMARY

Scholastic Literacy Pro is a blended reading program for Grades K–8 that motivates students to read with choice and access to high-quality fiction and nonfiction content—in and out of school—while providing educators and administrators with real-time data and reports. This third-party case study highlights how the program enhanced literacy instruction at San Jose Charter Academy in West Covina, CA, across all grade levels, by providing students with equitable reading experiences and allowing them to track print and digital reading together. With Literacy Pro as their reading management system, students’ time spent reading increased and educators gained more visibility into students’ progress and comprehension.
