Measure the length of the rug, the classroom, or the hallway using giant steps (a big space between each step). Have a classmate help count and record the number of steps you take. Now measure the same space using "normalsized" steps. Count and record. Finally, measure the same space again using heeltotoe steps. Count and record. What difference does the size of steps make when you measure?
