Meet the Workshop Leader

Susan Lunsford has taught primary students for twelve years at Ferguson Township Elementary in State College, Pennsylvania. A lifelong enthusiast of children's literature, she received her Master's degree from Penn State in 1994. She has worked on writing teams for the State College Area School District, developing hands-on thematic science units for primary children. She has presented her work regarding book-based writing ideas for young children at the Penn State Children's Literature Matters Conference and has published in Language Arts and Instructor. Susan lives in State College, Pennsylvania, with her husband, Brad, and her son, Ryan.
