The curriculum draws on robust, age-appropriate collections of books, organized
across six themes:

As a full-year curriculum, every day teachers and students talk, think, and write about text through interactive Read-Alouds and Student Book Clubs.

Each unit is aligned with the Common Core State Standards and directly addresses the five key expectations for English/Language Arts.

The collaborative nature of the “Student Book Club” enables all students—including struggling readers and English Language Learners—to find the support they need.

Students engage with authentic fiction and informational texts that build knowledge and academic vocabulary.
